Highlighting the history of puppetry in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, this collection also demonstrates the use of the art form as a teaching and communication tool. The Global Collection celebrates puppetry traditions in major cultures from around the world. In addition to learning how Henson’s characters came to life and are still performed, visitors can view iconic puppets such as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. The building also has a museum which features a large number of puppets in. It is the first puppetry center in the United States and also credited the largest. They opened to the public in Septemwhen Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog cut the ceremonial ribbon. This interactive exhibition follows Henson’s prolific imagination chronologically, transporting visitors through environments that typified the master puppeteer’s world, such as Jim’s Office and the Television Studio. The Center for Puppetry Arts is a puppet theater and museum located in Atlanta, Georgia that has been open for over 25 years. Everything hit the bullseye, but you missed the mark on the lower seat sightlines.The Center for Puppetry Arts is a uniquely creative cultural destination dedicated to celebrating the magic and wonder of puppetry by inspiring imaginations and entertaining the young at heart in all that we do. The largest nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to puppetry, the Center hosts year-round performances for all ages, educational workshops for every level of learning, and a museum featuring puppets from around the world, including iconic Jim Henson creations. I am NOT angry, but this is an encouragement to the director. While my view was blocked, they would have missed more. My wheelchair allowed me to be about 4 inches higher than anyone seated in the white folding chairs. This should be on website, ticket office and relayed by seaters. The Center has introduced millions of visitors to the wonder and art of puppetry, and offers enchanting performances, puppet workshops including the hands-on. When you book a cruise they tell you what rooms have blocked views. At least most scenes that started backstage moved forward so I could see. Many scenes were blocked by the rock set piece about mid stage. I was in a wheelchair thus had to go to the bottom row where there were several chairs for others to sit (I guess for overflow). The Center for Puppetry Arts is located in a former elementary school in Midtown at the corner of Spring Street and 18th, next door to the Berman Jewish. SIGHTLINES!!! It is the responsibility of the director to stage, place set pieces, and place actors etc.in place to allow sightlines for the available seats.

That in itself knocked down the level of professional ability for me. The Center uses the art form of puppetry as a means to provide educational experiences that encourage creativity, support school-day learning, fuel holistic. Volunteering at the Center for Puppetry Arts is a way to discover the art of puppetry and help facilitate similar discoveries for our patrons If you are. None of these performers had that challenge since none of the puppets had working mouths but the abominable snowman. Since 1978, the Center has introduced millions of visitors to the wonder and art of puppetry and has touched the lives of many through enchanting performances. Part of the mastery of puppet arts is the manipulation of the moving mouth. The Center for Puppetry Arts is a unique cultural treasure - a magical place where children and adults are educated, enlightened and entertained. I cannot recommend this place any higher. The emotions rendered through the smallest gesture was terrific and nuanced.

The voices were as good speech and singing as the original tv show. The museum was tremendous and interesting. I wish there was a class which was an actual paid semi-professional class versus a craft project. The puppet making class was fun and simple. The Center for Puppetry Arts deserves 5 stars but for two things.
